Supplies
Burlap squares
Acrylic paint
Foam pouncers | Q-tips | Foam brush {whatever you want!}
Acrylic sealer {not pictured}
This is the fun part! Decorate your coasters however you please. You can use a stencil, but I just painted by hand my designs. I think using a vinyl stencil in the future would be fun.
Tip: Use a q-tip for making polka dots! You can also use this technique on your nails with nail polish.
One thing I'm crushing on? Aztec prints and glittery gold everything! I made an aztec design with gray, white, pink, and glittery gold paint. I broke my q-tip in half and used the non-cotton part to paint with. Try experimenting with different brushes and things to paint with!
The last thing you want to do is use your acrylic sealer to spray over the coasters. This will waterproof them, which you'll need when your Dirty Diet Coke gets all sweaty. :)
Burlap + Polka Dots. Think I obsess much? Ha. I seriously use those two things in so many projects. Maybe I'll marry them. I love them so much.
Speaking of things I love so much - my dear friend Pamela from Macdonald's Playland had a baby last week!!! On St. Patrick's Day. You can read her lovely & inspiring birth story HERE. Miss Pamela asked me to guest post on her blog, which I'm doing in a couple weeks! Until then, Pamela has put together an AMAZING giveaway to celebrate the birth of her sweet baby boy. I feel so happy to be part of this special giveaway celebrating an even more special baby. Enter the giveaway by clicking the link below!
Peace out, lovies!
